NORTH HUDSON COMMUNITY ACTION CORP. HIGHLIGHTS NATIONAL BREAT CANCER AWARENESS MONTH WITH FREE BREAST EXAMS AND FREE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

To help highlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, North Hudson Community Action Corporation (NHCAC) is sponsoring free clinical breast examinations and free educational programs at its health centers in Hudson County.

“We are committed to fighting this insidious disease, so we want to use October to remind women to get an annual checkup and to show them how to conduct a proper self-examination,” explains Christopher F. Irizarry, president and chief executive officer of NHCAC.  “We’re urging everyone to take please take advantage of these free exams and our free educational programs.”

The free exams and educational programs will be held at:

• West New York Health Center, 5301 Broadway, Oct. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
• North Bergen Health Center, 1116 43rd St., Oct. 16 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Hoboken Health Center, 124 Grand St., Oct. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
• Jersey City Health Center, 324 Palisade Ave., Oct. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
