Health Fair Offers Free Screenings, Educational Demonstrations and Children’s Games

North Hudson Community Acton Corporation’s Women, Infants, Children (WIC) program will hold its annual Health Fair on Friday, July 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 54th Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue in West New York.

Free health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose will be available, along with nutritional and health information, food demonstrations and food samples. Applications for Familycare insurance, immigration assistance and child daycare will also be available, as well as free games and prizes for children, and clown make-up.

North Hudson Community Action is one of the region’s largest non-profit organizations, and it is New Jersey’s largest provider of federally qualified health care. Its health centers serve some two million residents in Hudson, Bergen and Passaic counties.
